Careful What You Flush!!

Your toilet is NOT a trash can! There are only a few things you should flush – and you know what they are! 

Residents are reminded to PLEASE NEVER FLUSH the following types of items:

• diapers,
• cosmetics,
• batteries,
• medications,
• feminine hygiene products,
• paper towels,
• tissues,
• cigarette butts,
• band aids,
• cat litter,
• dental floss, (once flushed, it wraps itself around other objects, making tiny clogs bigger quick),
• clothing items,
• oil,
• grease, rags,
• cleaning/disinfectant wipes,

Flushing these things can be harmful to your plumbing, the environment, or our water supply! In addition, these items don’t break down, and therefore clog the lift stations which in turn can cause sewer back-ups!  The repairs and maintenance for this are very costly.  Please properly dispose of these items!  Thank you!
